2026: Divest from War, Invest in Life (in support of the Oakland People’s Arms Embargo)
2025: Right of Return Pilgrimage
2024: Ceasefire Pilgrimage
In March of 2024, Interfaith4Palestine (then Interfaith4Ceasefire) organized a Ceasefire Pilgrimage in solidarity with the international Gaza Ceasefire Pilgrimage movement. This 22-mile walk, symbolizing the distance from Gaza City to the Rafah crossing refugee camp, amplified the interfaith community’s ongoing calls for:
- Enduring and Sustained Ceasefire.
- Immediate flow of life saving food, water, aid, fuel and humanitarian assistance.
- Release of all hostages – both the Israeli hostages held by Hamas – and the Palestinian hostages held in the Israeli prison system.
- End of occupation so a just-peace can begin.
As the displacement and genocide in Palestine continued into 2025, organizers invited the interfaith community to a second sacred pilgrimage, this time focusing on the right of return. Together, hundreds of people of faith journeyed 22 miles once again to call for:
- The right to remain, the right of return, and the right to migrate for all people, including Palestinians
- Enduring and sustained ceasefire
- Ending the genocide, ethnic cleansing and torture of the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank
- U.S. arms embargo on Israel
- Immediate flow of food, water, fuel and medical aid to Gaza and the West Bank
- Release of all hostages and political prisoners
- Ending repression against students and advocates for Palestinian freedom and justice

2026: Divest from War, Invest in Life
On May 9, 2026, join the Interfaith Pilgrimage for Palestine, a public witness calling for an end to military cargo shipments from Oakland to Israel. As the drumbeat of war and profiteering grows louder, we deepen our commitment to non-cooperation with harm and support the Oakland People’s Arms Embargo to proclaim: Divest from war. Invest in life.
This Mother’s Day, join us and be a voice for a different future, a future that sees children as our greatest inheritance. Children are sacred. As parents, aunties/uncles, grandparents, educators, healers and people of faith, let us put our values into actions that save lives and end the horror of the US and Israel’s war on children. For the sake of the future, let us create the world we want to see by demanding an end to the shipping of arms from Oakland.
2025: Right of Return Pilgrimage

In partnership with IM4HI (Interfaith Movement for Human Integrity), Interfaith4Ceasefire (now Interfaith4Palestine) led a 22-mile Right of Return Pilgrimage, tracing a symbolic path from Alameda to Berkeley, to affirm the right of Palestinians to return to their homes and rebuild their lives in peace and safety. The route mirrored the distance from Rafah to Gaza City and reversed the path of 2024’s Gaza Ceasefire Pilgrimage. Participants walked in prayerful resistance to genocide, calling for a ceasefire, an end to U.S.-funded militarism, and honoring the Palestinian and human right to remain, return, and migrate freely.
This pilgrimage was part of a broader global movement of Gaza Ceasefire Pilgrimages, which has spread to more than 150 cities in 20 countries and continues to grow.
The pilgrimage uplifted the following calls:
- Uphold right to remain, the right of return, and the right to migrate.
- Demand enduring and sustained ceasefire.
- End to the genocide, ethnic cleansing and torture of the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank.
- Impose U.S. arms embargo on Israel.
- Ensure immediate flow of food, water, fuel and medical aid to Gaza and the West Bank
- Release of all hostages and political prisoners.
- Stop repression against students and advocates for Palestinian freedom and justice.
